ABSTRACT
Information about several papers discussed during the Universities, Innovation and Global Medicine Access conference held in Toronto, Ontario on April 20-21, 2009 is presented. It highlights the story on the medical invention of Dr. Stanley Zlotkin concerning the Sprinkles, a powdered form of micronutrients sprinkled on food. It further tackles the hardship of Zlotkin in the patent and development of the formula, to combat the debilitating iron deficiency of children in the developing world.
