ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the "Financial Times Energy Conference" which took place in London, England in the second week of February 2009. The theme was the need for making renewable energy sources, accessible. Supratik Guha of IBM told the conference that sales of silicon solar cells are booming but they are inefficient. It was inferred that renewable energy technologies remains the great hope for the future but they need sustainable energy ideas based on sustainable resources .
