ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting that was held in Atlanta, Georgia from November 8 to 11, 2008. Ophthalmologist Michael Amon described 1-year results for the Sulcoflex IOL at Refractive Subspecialty Day, claiming that Sulcoflex is a promising new intraocular lens (IOL) concept with various new indications. He cited the benefits of the IOL, such as low rates of interlenticular opacification.
