ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA) Thematic Conference entitled "Coercive Treatment in Psychiatry: A Comprehensive Review held in Dresden, Germany in June 2007. The scientific program included 10 plenary lectures and 47 symposia/workshops. One of the objective of the event was to examine most of the clinical, legal and ethical aspects of such a type of treatment. Also offered are concluding reflections on the conference.
