ABSTRACT
Information on the 2008 Hydraulic Institute Annual Meeting which focuses on reducing energy costs in pumping systems is presented. Douglas Kaempf of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has delivered a talk entitled "The Push for Energy Efficiency in Pumping Systems" which outlines DOE's plan of reducing energy use by 25 percent in 2017. In addition, the topic on Hydraulic Institute and Pump Systems Matter can be accessed the websites www.Pumps.org and www.PumpSystemsMatter.org.
