ABSTRACT
The article reports on an April 2007 conference titled "The Challenge: Digital Long Term Archiving - Strategy and Practice of European Cooperation" held at the German National Library in Frankfurt. The conference called for a worldwide, universal digital library and a cooperative model for a security infrastructure, as well as implementation of standards and certification processes.
