ABSTRACT
Information about several topics discussed at a symposium sponsored by the Institute for Contemporary Canadian Craft (ICCC) held on October 22-24, 1993 at the Museum of Civilization in Hull, Quebec is presented. Topics include the meaning of contemporary craft, the semiotics of the craft object and exhibitions as vehicles of change. The event featured several artists in the textile industry including Michele Hardy, Diane Sullivan and Millie Creighton.
