ABSTRACT
The article discusses the highlights of the Coaching at Work conference of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) held in October 2007. Carol Wilson of the Association for Coaching explained that standards are about measuring professionals' success so that they can stretch themselves for better results. Mike Hurley considered accreditation as a way of assuring that the services are meeting standards. David Lane of the Global Convention on Coaching argued that commercial pressures might soon lead to consolidation.
