ABSTRACT
Information on the panel discussion during the National Patient Safety Congress concerning the pharmaceutical industry that was held in May 2007 in Washington, D.C. is presented. Mary Burkhardt claims that it is faster for physicians to prescribe than learn new technology. Mark Rubino adds that most pharmacies do not have access to electronic prescription. James DeVita affirms that medication errors are committed by pharmacists.
