ABSTRACT
Information on a conference hosted by the Instrumentation Systems and Automation (ISA) Society in February 2007 in North Carolina is presented. ISA leaders discussed strategic manpower issues regarding the profession and the industries in which automation professionals work. Discussions on how to facilitate workforce development were led by ISA president Steve Huffman. Resolutions were forged to continually coordinate with industry to identify workforce needs and respond by developing education and training programs.
