ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a discussion concerning time codes held during the Convergence II conference on December 9, 1986. Panel members included Arri/Nagra president Joe Sunday, Panavision Inc. product manager Moe Shore, Tom Kuhn of Eastman Kodak Co. and Buxton Co. president Bill Hogan. Sunday cited the proponent groups of time code which includes the Datakode system, the Aaton/Panavision optical matrix checkerboard format and the Arri/Coherent optical linear bars method. He stressed that the systems must be user-friendly.
