ABSTRACT
Information about several topics discussed at the Specialty Chemicals for Textile lecture organized by the Indian Fibre Society in India on December 29, 2006 is presented. Doctor Kishore M. Shah, chairman of Sauradip Chemicals Industries Pvt. Ltd., discussed the latest developments in specialty chemicals and finishing effects. Among the issues touched by Shah were those related to scouring, polyester weight reduction and functional finishes.
