ABSTRACT
The article presents information about the 2005 Super Top Dog competition held just over a week ago at the Apollo Theatre in New York City. While the dozens of competitors for the year's Super Top Dog title had at some point during the year won an Amateur Night and claimed the Apollo stage as their own, in the end, all but two of them would go home without a title. The evening began with a handful of audience members who got their own fifteen seconds of fame as they were pulled from the crowd to strut their stuff in a Soul Train-style dance competition.
