ABSTRACT
This article reports that on October 8, 2005 at the National College for School Leadership Conference Centre in Nottingham, England, with nearly 100 people present, the Institute of Administrative Management (IAM)'s 90th Anniversary Conference opened. Delegates included IAM students, tutors and members from a wide variety of backgrounds. The Conference was opened by the Sheriff of Nottingham, Derek Cresswell, who explained that he had never had the opportunity to visit the Conference Centre before, and that he was extremely impressed with the venue. He welcomed all attendees, guests and corporate partners, congratulated the delegates on making this investment in their personal development, and then formally opened the Conference. The IAM's Annual Tutors' Conference was also run in conjunction with the main event. Tutors from Accredited IAM Centres were invited to a session addressed by David Woodgate, IAM Chief Executive, and members of the Institute's International Headquarters team, providing updates on the latest exciting developments at the IAM, in terms of syllabus, materials, new programmes etc.
