The article presents information about the Land of Lincoln Bass Tournament, held from May 20-22, 2005 at Rend Lake, Mount Vernon, Illinois. Vaughan Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America hosted the event. More than 170 anglers made the trip from 27 states of the U.S., to compete in what is considered a special event this year. Player Tom Mansfield and his wife Mary Mansfield have put on this tournament since its inception. Tom Mansfield missed the previous two years due to health problems but was able to make this year's event. INSET: The Word Is Out!.
