The 2004 Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition: Embracing technology to improve life on the farm

The article reports on the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition to be held on October 19-21 in Moultrie, Georgia. It has become a world-class "Center of Learning" for agriculture-related consumers. A state-of-the-art DNA Tenderness Test for beef cattle will be one of the educational topics visitors can learn about in the livestock exhibits at the Bill Patten Livestock Pavilion. Researcher Paul Swisher of the American Pinzgauer Association will demonstrate the simple method utilized to collect DNA samples from cows, and discuss the market for tender beef.
