The article presents the schedule of several events relevant to the insurance industry in the U.S. from June 1, 1988 to November 11, 1988. From June 1 to June 2, 1988, the Property-Casualty Reinsurance Claims course will be held in New York City. The course is designed to provide training in and information on all aspects of reinsurance claims handling. An event called Regional Environmental Regulation conference will be held in New York City from June 1 to June 3, 1988. The conference is designed to provide an update in the latest developments in federal and state programs in the New York/New Jersey region. A seminar entitled Quantitative Techniques for Risk Management will be held in New York City from June 7 to 8, 1988. This seminar will focus on quantitative methods, fundamental principles of statistics, loss projection, cost analysis, retention determination, pro forma financial analysis and cost allocation. On June 8, 1988, a seminar entitled Regulatory and Legislative Issues From a Workers' Compensation Perspective will be held in Washington, D.C. Federal legislation related to workers' compensation insurance will be the focus of this seminar. Topics will include the High Risk Occupational Disease Notification Bill, repeal of the McCarran-Ferguson Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act developments, bad faith claims and AIDS in the workplace.
