The study of pathobiologic and immunopathologic mechanisms of skin disease is being pursued by investigators in various laboratories throughout the world and this fact is reflected in the international origins of the participants in this symposium. This volume deals with the immunopathologic mechanisms in a variety of important dermatologic entities. It should be extremely useful in offering synthesis and direction to the field of immunodermatology and to the care of the patient with dermatologic disease.
