ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the presentation of Marian Salzman, chief strategy officer for Euro RSCG during the Women's Forum of the Financial Executive Institute sponsored by the New York Stock Exchange. The author notes that forum attendees were captivated by Salzman. Salzman engaged the group with her lively and insightful visions of marketing trends and key influences shaping the marketplace. Even though the focus of the data related to retail, it was apparent how much of the trend information is applicable to every executive and every business. Consumer empowerment is vital to 10 trends shaping the U.S. and global culture that Salzman described. Each of the ten create enormous challenge for businesses.
