ABSTRACT
The author of this column contends that there is no unnecessary group or function in the entire realm of the lesbian feminist struggle. Along with the need to work together, there must be the strong need for personal validity. The author feels that the woman who finds 'liberation' and loses her freedom is our most disastrous casualty. She discusses the paradoxes of lesbian liberation, such as speaking of sisterly trust, but wondering if it is safe to allow lovers to be out in public. The only real reason that she is a lesbian activist is because she knows that the feelings that she has for her lover are right for her.
