Several photographs of naval crew in rescue work are presented. One of the photographs features crewmembers on board USS Abraham Lincoln filling jugs with purified water from a potable water manifold. Another photograph shows Sergeant Fernando Galvan initiating a recruit into the world of discipline, a characteristic that was highlighted in an award-winning essay about Marine culture. The third photograph depicts a Russian shipyard worker, who has cut up a large section of a Russian Oscar-class nuclear guided-missile submarine at the Little Star shipyard in Severodvinsk, Russia.
