ABSTRACT
The section provides statistical information regarding the investments of organizations in the sector of healthcare. A unit of McKesson, the largest pharmaceutical distributor in the U.S., bought Saint Louis-based D&K Healthcare Resources, a distributor of drug and beauty products, for 206,8 million dollars in cash. Genentech Inc. announced last week it plans to offer 2 billion dollars in five, ten and thirty year senior notes. The giant biotech will use 585 million dollars of the proceeds to pay off a facility lease.
