ABSTRACT
The section presents statistics related to merger and acquisition (M&A) activity in industries, as of July 11, 2005. Some of the names of companies involved in recently announced global M&A deals with disclosed transaction values, as of July 14, 2005, are Aerojet Fine Chemicals, Angelholms Energi AB, BIL International, Calsonic Communication, Datafast Telecommunications, LEGO Group-Theme Parks and Legoland Windsor Park. Some of the largest global M&A deals in the third quarter of 2005 are of PacifiCare Health Systems Inc., IMS Health Inc. and Unilin Systems.
