ABSTRACT
The author comments on the Supreme Court decision on Coventry v Lawrence. He considers it an important judgment on common law principles of nuisance, alleging that British courts may be more inclined to refuse injunctions if a defendant's activity is in the public interest. It discusses private nuisance claim filed by claimants to disturbance caused by the defendant's motocross and stock car racing activity, principles in nuisance actions and impact of the case on future claims.
