ABSTRACT
The author discusses the potential role of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) markers as primary outcome endpoint in multiple sclerosis (MS) Phase III randomized, controlled trials. He expresses his sanguinity about the applicability of MRI scan in phase III clinical trials, citing the importance of clinical endpoints. The association of relapse activity to hard disease outcomes is discussed.
