ABSTRACT
The author discusses a debate of allowing kids to miss school for vacation. Particular focus is given to opinions of "Scholastic News Edition" readers Sebastian Stoss who is in favor of allowing students to take family vacations outside of normal school holiday breaks, and Alyssa Beaujuin who is not in favor of allowing students miss school other than during regular school breaks. It discusses a law passed in Great Britain to stop students from missing school for family vacations.
