ABSTRACT
In this article, the author reflects on several anniversaries that have impacted Polish people, which is to be celebrated in the year 2014. Topics discussed include the dissolution of the Communist Empire in 1989, the impact of the Second World War on Polish people and Poland as the member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Also discusses the future prospects of education of the next generation in Poland.
