ABSTRACT
The author relates on the burnout, a stress-induced health problems of general practitioners (GPs), and the failure to recognize their needed treatment. She mentions the introduction of the Personal medical Services (PMS) in 1998 which increased the workload of GPs. She believes that workload is a political issue and the government and legislators need to recognize GPs' issues on stress and workload. She advices GPs to mind their health and educate patients about the issues in general practice.
