In this article the author cites the need for retailers to work with their rivals to arrest the decline in high streets. She mentions the results of a study from the Centre for Retail Research that 60,000 shops will close by 2018 but notes that it should motivate and not put off retail marketers. She also claims that retailers and high streets using digital and mobile to supplement their physical environments to create a brand space will survive the predicted closures.
