ABSTRACT
The author discusses aspects of hydraulic fracking, considered as the most ill part of energy development. He says that activists against oil drilling has shifted its focus to the issues of fracking, following the development of the Marcellus Shale Formation. He suggests that the process must be examined to identify how the fracking fluid travel underground. He mentions a fracking event in 1960s-1970s, in which nuclear devices were ignited under Colorado and New Mexico to loosen gas and oil.
