ABSTRACT
The author discusses the benefits of community participation on the people, volunteers, and the community. She argues that whenever opportunities to participate are being taken for granted or not pursued, they could be lost. Also discuss is the consequences if few will attend the election of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) officers as well as the national, state, and local political elections in the U.S.
