ABSTRACT
The author comments on the several aspects related to botulism disease. It is stated that, the disease is caused by clostridium botulinum which is found in soil, and produces neurotropic toxin. It is reported that, botulism is of three types including, foodborne botulism, wound botulism, and infant botulism, and botulinum toxin blocks nerve function leading to respiratory and musculoskeletal paralysis.
