In this article the author discusses political and financial aspects of credit unions (CUs) in the U.S. He says that the monthly surveys of CUs show a slight increase in lending for April, which rose by 0.2% over March. He notes that one of the challenges that CUs face is the high unemployment rate. He also mentions that CUs need a 535-member strategy in the future to reach out to every member of Congress.
