ABSTRACT
In this article, the author discusses the importance of the credit unions (CUs) to customers in the U.S. He claims that CUs may well be the best-kept secret in financial services, where people continue to expect to help them and their families. He contends that CUs are making good, solid loans, indicating that annualized loan losses at CUs were well below those of banks overall. He claims that CUs are held as financial institutions dedicated to maximizing services to members.
