ABSTRACT
The article expresses the author's views on vegetables and relates her experience in preparing a meal for a vegetarian. The author claims that she understands the ethics behind such a diet, but finds the practice difficult, citing the ease of preparing meat-based dishes. Mention is also made of the complexity of ingredients required in Indian cuisine, as well as the many names given to the same vegetables, due to the polyglot nature of the country. The author was pleased with the dish made, as was the guest, making the former consider going vegan.
