ABSTRACT
In this article the author discusses the role of technology on insurance companies. He mentions the efficacy of geospatial location data over traditional location data for the industry's operations. He also reflects on several advantages of using global positioning system (GPS) within the industry. He asserts that by applying advanced geospatial analytics to a full range of business decisions, a company may gain competitive advantage.
