ABSTRACT
In this article the author comments on the efficacy of insolvency law to address bankruptcy of companies in the U.S. The author mentions that some investors believed that going back to basics and revisiting the municipal insolvency law could solve the problem because its rules can help sustain an orderly market during fiscal distress. Moreover, he adds that these rules can also promote swift restructuring and assist distressed municipalities.
