ABSTRACT
The author discusses components of the U.S. Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, also known as the Banking Act of 1933, that he would like to see used in an approach to financial reform. The Act separated commercial banking practices from investment banking practices, according to the author, and was dismantled throughout the 1990s. He mentions that new reforms should outline the scope of banking enterprises.
