ABSTRACT
In this article, the author discusses the importance of Affiliates as the grassroots of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) in the U.S. She emphasizes that members of the said organization play an imperative role in helping sustain the association's work towards the achievement of goals. She also points that associates provide ideas and solutions, professional and leadership development, and create partnerships and coalitions that become national models.
