ABSTRACT
In this article the authors discuss aspects of regulation on systemic risk and why it will result in increased risk. They believe that for any algorithm enforced by regulators on banks to manage risk, several securities will appear to have lower risk than they actually do. They discuss nationalizing all deposit-taking institutions and eliminating deposit insurance as two possible exceptions that allow subjective rather than objective regulations. Also investigated is experimenting in risk.
