ABSTRACT
In this article the author reflects on the need for successful communicators to listen to and understand the recipients of their message in Great Britain. He discusses three ideas that show the importance of listening and understanding to make communication effective. He believes that such ideas are crucial to the success of communicators. He suggests that the psychology and motivation of recipients must be recognized by communicators.
