ABSTRACT
In this article the author discusses the sluggish effort of the British Financial Services Authority (FSA) on consumer protection in the financial services industry in Great Britain. He accounts the five year-span of time before FSA and its chief executive Hector Sants admitted the unsatisfying treatment of consumers in the industry. He further regards the view of Sants on the country's old-style consumer protection regulation that led to FSA's failure to provide a deserved consumer treatment.
