ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the crisis in the employee benefit sector in the U.S. He says that employee benefits professionals should be prepared for how the actions of the Congress will affect their business. He mentions proposals in the sector including additional restrictions on 401(k) plan and a universal health care system. Reasons for animosity toward the 401(k) plan are cited.
