The author comments on innovating opportunities available for the travel industry in the time of recession. It is stated that, in recession companies should think about how to position their business for when the good times return. The industry, as stated, should concentrate on two areas which are, the holiday rental market and mobile phones, for business growth. However, as stated, the two opportunities will require a fair degree of enthusiasm and innovation of business models or technology.
