ABSTRACT

In this article, the author discusses the result of the Phase III trial for Avastin in early-stage colorectal cancer conducted by Roche AB. The author states that the failure of the trial does not affect the leading position of Avastin in the drug approval indication. The author notes that rival drug Erbitux has the opportunity to acquire first-to-market status in early-stage colorectal cancer.
