Medical profiteering: the economics of methadone dispensation

In this article the author discusses the economic trend on the access of methadone in the health care industry in Vancouver, British Columbia. He highlights the flow of methadone dispensation in pharmacies in the city, centering on the purpose of medical profiteering. He also regards the negative and positive aspects of making methadone readily available in the community. Furthermore, he concludes on the effectivity of medical profiteering of methadone to reduce multiple drug dependence.
