ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's comments on the U.S. economic stimulus package in recession and its offerings for the state of Illinois. The author states that while the economic arguments are less than overwhelming, the political arguments for the stimulus package are irresistible. He says unfortunately, Illinois has not been at the epicenters of either the housing problems or the automobile industry's decline.
