ABSTRACT
The author discusses the prevalence of drug-facilitated sexual assault. They impart that drugs and alcohol are the usual contributors to sexual assault. It mentions the study by Du Mont and colleagues where they found high rates of drug-facilitated sexual assault. It cites that early toxicological samples and DNA evidence examination from the victim is important to address the various potential types of assault. It adds that the consent of the victims for the tests is also needed.
