ABSTRACT
In this article the author comments on the economic stimulus program of U.S. President Barack Obama. According to the author, he supports a huge stimulus package so that a downward economic spiral can be prevented. He thinks that Obama's politics compromise the economics of the program. He points out that Obama and Democratic congressional leaders are using the stimulus package to advance political priorities rather than boost the economy. He notes that the economic impact of the stimulus is smaller than advertised.
