The author identifies some requirements needed to run a business. He says strong human resources (HR) leadership is a minimum prerequisite in running a business. He notes that the other requirements include new mental models for how organizations really work, supporting infrastructure, inclusive organizations and bold business leaders. He stresses that leaders who have the courage to pursue dramatic innovation and the wisdom to understand how to partner with HR professionals are needed.
